We are pleased with your interest in Almantix. The protection of your personal data is our highest priority. This Privacy Policy explains the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online offering.

2. Provision of the Website and Server Log Files

When using our website for purely informational purposes, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server (Server Log Files). This includes:

  • IP address (anonymized/shortened)
  • Date and time of the request
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred in each case
  • Website from which the request originates (Referrer URL)
  • Browser type and operating system used

Legal Basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in ensuring a smooth connection setup, system security, and the technical optimization of the website.

3. Server-Side Tracking and Waiver of Cookies (Section 25 TDDDG)

Our platform operates strictly according to the "Privacy by Design" principle. We do not use cookies or local storage elements on your terminal equipment (computer/smartphone) that require consent. Furthermore, we do not engage in invasive browser fingerprinting.

We exclusively utilize server-side tracking (Server-Side Analytics). In this process, access data is evaluated pseudonymously directly on our server, without information being read from or stored on your terminal equipment. Access to terminal equipment within the meaning of Section 25 TDDDG (German Act on Data Protection and Privacy in Telecommunications and Digital Services) does not take place. Therefore, a consent banner (Cookie Banner) is not legally required.

Legal Basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the anonymized measurement of reach and statistical analysis to improve our B2C services.

4. Processing of Highly Sensitive Data (Art. 9 GDPR) – Translation Services

To provide sworn translations, it is necessary for you to upload documents (e.g., passports, driver's licenses, birth certificates) via Almantix. These documents may contain special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 (1) GDPR (e.g., biometric data, information regarding racial or ethnic origin, or religious beliefs).

These data are processed by us exclusively for the purpose of contract fulfillment (preparation of the sworn translation by Mehmet Kul).

Legal Basis: The processing of these sensitive data is based exclusively on your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (Performance of a Contract). This consent is requested separately during the ordering process.

5. Payment Processing via Stripe (Fintech Integration)

To process payments on our platform, we use the payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland ("Stripe").

When you make a payment, your payment data (e.g., name, amount, credit card details) are transmitted directly to Stripe. Almantix does not store your credit card details on its own servers. Stripe acts as an independent data controller in this regard. Any data transfers to the USA by Stripe are legally secured by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Adequacy Decision of the EU Commission).

6. Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) & eIDAS

Insofar as your documents are digitally certified, we integrate Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSP) certified under the European eIDAS Regulation via API interfaces to generate the Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) pursuant to Section 126a BGB (German Civil Code). In this process, necessary metadata (name of the translator, timestamp, document hash) is transmitted to the trust service provider to guarantee the legal validity of the translation.
